Twenty-one year-old Sarah Mitton can walk away from the Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan with her head held high.
The Brooklyn, Queens County resident finished tenth in the women’s shot put event.
Mitton had a personal best throw of 16.32 metres in the final.
She qualified for the final after three throws averaged 15.59 metres.
Brittany Crew of Toronto captured gold with a throw of 18.32 metres.
