MODL Spending $50,000 To Improve Six Trails

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is committed to active living.

MODL will spend $50,000 on nature trails this fall.

Mayor Don Downe says it was all part of this year’s budget and council’s commitment to supporting a healthier lifestyle.

“It’s about active participation. It’s about being concerned about your health and getting out and exercising and walking.”

Six trails will get spruced up .

The LaHave River Trail will get $19,000 and $10,000 to the South Shore Annapolis Valley Recreational Trail.

There are 125 kilometres of nature paths stretching through the district.
