Mooseheads Ready For Draft Day

The Halifax Mooseheads are confident heading in to this year’s QMJHL Draft.

For the first time in franchise history, they have three first round picks (1st, 7th, 16th).

Play by play commentator for the Mooseheads, John Moore says we could see fireworks.

“I think there’s a possibility that they may in fact try to move up,” he says, “move up and perhaps have three picks in the top seven, or top ten. So, I think they are perfectly positioned entering this draft.”

The big debate between Jared McIsaac and Beniot-Olivier Groulx will finally be settled.

Central Scouting has Groulx ranked first overall while McIsaac’s size and strength would benefit any team’s blue line.

Moore says the team’s front office has done their homework and it will make for an exciting day.

The draft starts at 10am tomorrow in Charlottetown.
