The health department is still working on ways to keep the Roseway emergency room open.
Health minister Leo Glavine says his department is aware of the ongoing closures.
“An issue that we haven’t fully resolved. We need to give that community the comfort, the assurance and the medical clinicians to be able to work there.”
He says a new doctor will be practicing in the area in July and four paramedics have been given training to assist in the emergency room.
There will be an anouncement next week around the medical clinic.
He hopes to address issues around the Roseway closures at that time.
Meanwhile, the new doctor won’t arrive in time to solve this weekends closure at the hospital in Shelburne.
The Roseway Emergency Department will be closed all day Monday starting at 5 a.m.
Doors are expected to re-open Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock.
