More Snow, Freezing Rain Coming To South Shore

As the province continues to dig out from Sunday’s blizzard, another storm is on the way.

Environment Canada is warning 10-15 centimeters of snow and freezing rain is expected to fall between tonight and Thursday morning.

The snow will become mixed with ice pellets then change to rain along the coast.

Snowfall amounts could increase if the weather doesn’t change to rain as predicted.

But, that will depend on how the storm tracks over Nova Scotia.

High winds will mean reduced visibility and blowing snow overnight and into Thursday.

As the rain tapers off Thursday afternoon, temperatures will drop below freezing and flurries will develop.
