A new multi-purpose facility is open in Caledonia.
The building, designed by Parsons ICF Construction, contains the North Queens Fire Association, a community centre and a business hub.
It is also an environmentally-friendly building with in-floor geo-thermal heating and energy efficient lighting.
The building cost close to $2-million to construct.
The federal and provincial governments provided funding along with the Region of Queens and the Municipality of Annapolis.
People also donated over half a million dollars.
An official opening was held yesterday in North Queens.
