Municipality Of Lunenburg Seeks To Understand Internet Problem

The Municipality of Lunenburg is trying to figure out how bad the rural internet problem really is.

A survey was sent out in the municipality’s December newsletter asking people about their needs.

Councillor Cathy Moore says so far the response is what they expected.

“There’s quite a few who don’t have service at all,” she says. “The ones that do have service aren’t happy with it. They can’t run a business from home, they can’t do online banking, their children have to go elsewhere to do their homework…”

Moore says the survey results will help them in conversations with the province about the issue.

The deadline to send in or drop off a completed survey is Friday.
