NDP Leader Disappointed With State Of Province

We are nearing a year since the Liberal government started its mandate as the leading party of Nova Scotia. And yet, the leader of the NDP is disappointed in what she sees. Maureen MacDonald says there is no financial plan in place, there is a significant deficit and the Liberals keep spending money. She says there has also been no movement or plan around the recent Ivany Report’s recommendations. MacDonald says, “If we don’t act quickly and decisively around our economic development, we really risk going backwards in Nova Scotia, continuing to lose our young people, our skilled work force.” MacDonald says it will also result in a reduction in public services including health care, education and good roads. She says the Liberals should have a fiscal and economic development plan in place by now.
