The minister of Service Nova Scotia say he’s pleased with the improvements made to in-person services.
Mark Furey says those are provided at Access Nova Scotia centres throughout the province and include the registry of motor vehicles and land registry.
He says the department set a goal to serve 80 percent of customers in 20 minutes or less.
“We are, right now, at a mark of about serving 90 percent of Nova Scotians in less than 20 minutes. That’s a significant shift from where we were this time last year.”
Furey says the 10 percent of customers not being reached within 20 minutes is due to complex issues.
“People attend the counter with multiple family members and they’re gifting vehicles from one party to another. That’s a process that’s going to take some time.”
However, he says they are constantly working to enhance and improve wait times.
