Bay Ferries Limited has been working to secure a vessel since November but there is still nothing in place.
MacLellan says the company will find a vessel that makes sense, based on cost and performance.
Meanwhile, Yarmouth’s mayor says she has faith in Bay Ferries and the province.
Pam Mood she is concerned for hotel and tourism-sector operators.
But, she feels the season will move ahead.
“It’s a little late, but better late than never. And I think for a situation like this that holds true more than ever.”
Mood believes things will move quickly once a vessel is secured.
