Nova Scotia NDP Leader Gary Burrill is the South Shore this week to take part in the annual South Shore Exhibition, but that’s not all.
He’ll also be speaking with as many people as he can during the break away from the Provincial Legislature.
Burrill says it’s also a great opportunity to visit with people and get an idea of the important issues they would like to see brought before the Government and addressed when the Legislature resumes in the fall.
“In the summer, we always do a lot of extra visiting and traveling and going door to door so I’m visiting lots of people on the South Shore this week,” Burrill tells Acadia News.
He says he wants to hear from people first hand the things that are important to them, what matters to them, what needs to change.
“Out of all of that, we develop and devise our program for the Legislature when it reconvenes in the fall so right now we’re in the talking and listening mode, and part of my talking and listening is on the South Shore today,” adds Burrill.
Gary Burrill is expected to be a part of the Pepsi Grand Street Parade starting at 6pm outside the NSCC Campus in Bridgewater.
