A text message scam is circulating involving Nova Scotia Power.
The company says a fraudulent message is delivered claiming a refund is being issued by them.
The message states Nova Scotia Power has a customer refund for a specific dollar amount and directs the recipient to click a link to access the money.
NSP says the texts are not from them and advise people not to click the link as they do not communicate with customers about bill payments or credits through text.
Any customers who encounter this problem or have questions about bill payments should call Nova Scotia Power’s customer care centre at 1-800-428-6230.
