JODRIE, David Stanley – Simpsons Corner, Lunenburg Co. It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of David on September 28, 2026. Born November 30, 1959, in Bridgewater, the only child of the late Murray Leonard and Mildred Ida (Veinotte) Jodrie.
David’s career with The Ark (LCASC – Lunenburg County Association for the Specially Challenged) had a span of over 38 years (1982-2020). He worked up from instructor to coordinator, to manager. His kindness and understanding helped countless people overcome their challenges.
Surviving is his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Shelley (Ash) Jodrie; son, Michael Jodrie, Hebbville, and other extended family members on the Jodrie, Veinotte and Ash families.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, David Arthur Murray Jodrie in 2016.
Service in Loving Remembrance will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. Visiting with family and friends will take place an hour prior to the service. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to The Ark/LCASC.
