KELLY, Georgina Vivian (Pitcher)– Age 92, of Pleasantville. Passed away Friday October 23, 2026, at Queen’s Manor, Liverpool. Born in Neil’s Harbour, Cape Breton, she was the youngest daughter of the late, Rev. Abraham Pitcher and M. Florence (McArtt) Pitcher.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy K. Kelly; and her sisters, Gertrude Marie Pitcher and Annie Frances Côté. Georgina is survived by several nieces and nephew. A graduate of Annapolis Royal Academy and Acadia University, she was a well-known Mathematics Teacher whose career encompassed several counties of NS and Castlegar, BC. Prior to retirement she was an active participant in her professional organizations for many years.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home at her request. A Memorial Service for Georgina will be held Monday November 2nd, 2026, beginning at 1 P.M., in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, West LaHave, private family interment following the service in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation.
