A body has been found at the scene of a house fire on Northfield Road,
RCMP have confirmed the person was discovered by a police cadaver dog around 10:00 this morning but have not released any further details.
Police closed a section of Northfield Rd between Mossman Station and Silver Roads in Lower Northfield around 1:30 yesterday afternoon as crews responded to the house fire.
They reopened that stretch just after 6:00 last night.
The medical examiner’s office is working to identify the remains.
RCMP are securing the scene while they continue to investigate.
