Over 1,100 Drivers Charged With Impaired Driving In 2015

More than 1,100 people were caught driving while under the influence last year.

The RCMP recently released the statistics showing 1,048 were charged with impaired driving.

Another 84 drove while impaired by drugs.

The RCMP’s Leanne MacDonald says it’s alarming to see motorists put themselves and others at risk.

Over 560 people had their license suspended in 2015 for anywhere from 24 hours to 90 days.

RCMP asks for assistance from anyone spotting a suspected impaired driver by calling 911.
