A few thousand people are left eating lunch in the dark in Liverpool and Shelburne.
Nova Scotia Power is reporting over 3,700 homes and businesses without electricity at this time.

Power is expected to be restored by 2:30 p.m this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the South Shore Regional School Board is dismissing classes early at Dr. J.C Wickwire and South Queens Middle School.
The board says parents who are able to pick up their child are asked to do so.
Students will not be allowed on buses until there is confirmation from a parent or guardian.
