On Christmas Day fierce winds, clocked at over 117 km/h in some areas, knocked down trees and poles and snapped lines across the province.
In a release, Nova Scotia Power says as of 6:30 last night they had over 90% of the electricity restored to customers who lost power.
There are still 768 active outages across Nova Scotia.
Dozens in the Tri-Counties and South Shore.
According to NSP’s outage map, there are over 2100 customers in Shelburne County still without power, over 1100 in Yarmouth County.
NS Power estimates power will be restored to most customers by noon today.
The utility is reminding people not to go near any downed power lines.
