Ripples from the attack on Paris are being felt even here on the South Shore.
Pat Joudrey from Mahone Bay is trying to help.
She’s working to organize gatherings at gazebos across the South Shore on Friday.
“I just felt an urge that we need to stand together,” she says, “against the wave of fear that’s coming through. Fear could stifle us and that’s scary in itself.”
Joudrey says we can’t let the actions of extremists stop us from helping those who are in need of asylum.
Gatherings will take place at four o’clock.
She says if there isn’t one in your community everyone is welcome in Mahone Bay.
