Police Seek Assistance After Youth Assaulted On Shelburne Walking Trail

Police are investigating an assault involving a youth in Lockeport.

Shelburne RCMP say a youth was walking along a trail running from Brighton Road to Lockeport when a man exited a wooded area and assaulted him.

They say the youth was able to slip free from the man and escape, however the suspect also fled.

Police are now looking for a Caucasian male, 50-60 years old, around 6 feet tall and 180-200 pounds. He has short, messy greying hair and was wearing a grey shirt, bluish green cargo pants and a disposable medical mask.

They say the trail is frequented by cyclists and walkers, and are asking anyone with information to contact the RCMP or Nova Scotia Crimestoppers.
