Privateers Erase Five Goal Third Period Deficit To Stun Valley

The Liverpool Privateers had a comeback for the ages.

The Junior ‘B’ hockey club was down 5-0 in the third period to the Valley Maple Leafs in game one of the Fred Fox Division Final.

The Privateers reeled off eight goals in the final frame to stun the Windsor crowd and the Leafs, 8-5.

Gavyn Connell-Helle, Derek Nelson, and Alex Nauss each scored twice.

Connor Nauss and Stone Harnish provided the other goals.

The teams are back at it tonight in game two at Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
