Province Honours Fallen Mountie And First Responders

Another amendment to the “Move Over” law will see the province honour first responders.

The Nova Scotia Legislature has declared each September 12 will be recognized as First Responders Road Safety Awareness Day.

The day will honour RCMP Constable Francis Deschenes and first responders across the province.

Deschenes was killed while assisting a motorist beside a highway in Memramcook New Brunswick, September 12, 2017.

Interim PC Leader Karla MacFarlane says first responders risk their lives every day.

And everything possible should be done to protect them while they do this important job.
