Nova Scotia’s finance minister projects a bigger deficit, partly because of overspending.
Randy Delorey predicts the deficit will jump to $122 million from $97.6-million.
The province spent more on home care due to increased demand and snow and ice removal.
Delorey said he has no plans for immediate spending cuts, but they will be keeping an eye on the risks.
“The data and information collected will help us continue to find savings throughout the year.”
Delorey added cuts could be coming as they work toward a balanced-budget in 2016-17.
