Halifax Regional Police have a man in custody following an incident today at Public Gardens. Police were called around 11am after reports of a man claiming he had a gun hidden at the park. The park was evacuated and closed while officers and a K-9 unit searched for the weapon. However, nothing suspicious was found.
Police say the 24-year-old man is being questioned. The park re-opened just before 1pm this afternoon.
