It’s going to be a great summer for skateboarders in Queens County.
The skate park, which has been under construction since last fall, is slated for completion by the end of June.
Mayor David Dagley says it’s almost ready to go.
“They’re finishing up some of the flat parts in between [bowls], and tying in all the components.”
The park was budgeted to cost $560,000 of which the region covered about three-quarters.
Dagley says it’s a great addition to the Queens Place Emera Centre location.
