A section of Highway 8 between Queens and Annapolis counties was closed for several hours due to a serious crash.
RCMP Corporal Jennifer Clarke says traffic was detoured between Kempt and Maitland Bridge.
“It is a single vehicle collision,” says Clarke.
“I know LifeFlight has been used to transport two individuals to hospital with serious injuries.”
The single vehicle collision occurred shortly after 8 a.m. when the vehicle lost control, left the roadway and overturned in the ditch.
A third occupant of the vehicle was not injured.
The section of highway was closed until mid-afternoon.
An RCMP Traffic Analyst was called to examine the scene.
