RCMP Warns Helipads, Donuts, And Alcohol Don’t Mix

Helipads, alcohol, and donuts don’t mix.

That’s according to members of Queens District RCMP who caught an individual doing donuts on a helipad in Liverpool at around 1 this morning.

An officer spotted a vehicle driving in a circular pattern and spinning out on a municipally owned helipad just off Harley Umphrey Drive.

The 21-year-old driver was stopped and the officer noted alcohol on his breath and asked to take a breathalyzer test.

That resulted in a ‘warning’ reading and a seven day suspension of his licence.

The White Point man is also charged with stunting and fined over $2,400 and received a second seven day suspension of his licence.

RCMP are reminding the public to report unsafe driving by calling them directly or 911.
