Recall Issued For PC Organics Brand Apple, Blueberry and Green Pea Strained Baby Food

A national recall has been issued by Loblaws for PC Organics brand Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea strained baby food.

The recall was issued because the products could potentially permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum, which is a rare, but potentially life-threatening bacterial illness.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency conducted a food safety investigation after a consumer complaint.

If you picked up the baby food, the agency recommends throwing it out or returning it back to the store where you picked it up.

No illnesses have been reported.

The baby food will not smell bad or show any signs it could cause illness. However, some symptoms include nausea, vomiting and fatigue.
