Sally-Ann Looking For Volunteers To Help Meet Christmas Kettle Goals

The familiar sights of Christmas are returning to the South Shore.

One of those is the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettles.

Volunteers are already stationed at stores ready to accept donations.

Major Wilson Sutton with the Bridgewater branch says they have many loyal volunteers but are always looking for more.

“The next couple of weeks looks like they’re close to almost all filled. But as we get closer to Christmas, that’s where we’re starting to see there’s spots left open.”

Sutton says volunteers are needed to tend to the kettles for a two-hour shift.

The money supports community members in need throughout the year.

Sutton says $71,000 was raised last Christmas and he would love to break the $70,000 mark again.

Anyone who wishes to help can contact the Bridgewater Branch at 902-543-0356 for more information.
