The future is unknown for elementary schools in Pentz and Petite Riviere in Lunenburg county.
A confidential meeting was held in June between select school board officials and the education minister.
The decision to review the Bridgewater and Park View families of schools has left Jennifer Naugler eager for a follow-up discussion.
“There has been a lot of uncertainty and I know for families in the communities they really want to know what is going to be the future for the students living in that area.”
The schools were targeted to close in 2013.
A request to build a new school to replace both has so far been denied by the province.
The board has five years to shut down schools once they are earmarked for closure.
