Shelburne: Spring Fling Benefits Roseway Hospital

A major fundraiser for Roseway Hospital is scheduled for tomorrow in Shelburne.

The auxiliary is holding its ‘Spring Fling’ at the Community Centre from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

A variety of raffles and 50-50 draws are held along with baked goods and new and used items will be sold.

Secretary Tami Crosby says proceeds go towards purchasing vital health equipment for the hospital.

“Some of that being lab equipment, two new defibrillators for the ER department. Also, we have made a commitment for a new medication management system.”

Overall, the auxiliary needs to raise about $90,000 for the equipment.

The event raised around $8,000 last year and Crosby hopes they can raise the same amount or more this year.
