We all know that music is a great tool to help us get away from everything, smile and relax regardless of what is happening. In today’s world that music is often streamed online, that is of course when you can’t get your music fix by tuning into your local radio station. (100.7 FM, Country 100.7 that is)
There are still a few people that love the feel of a physical album. The interesting notes, the unreleased tracks and the overall presentation from the artist. Years ago, the only way you could have music at your fingertips was to buy the album, or record the tune when you heard it on the radio station.
I have always been proud to work with the East Coast Music scene and if we look at the history album sales, some Nova Scotians certainly measure up well. I would have never guessed that any Maritime artist would have over 80 million albums sold, but that is the case for one guy from the South Shore. Combined, the top 5 acts of all time from Nova Scotia sold 235 million albums and one third of them were Hank Snow albums!
