South Shore Goes All Out In Christmas Kick Off

Christmas officially comes to the South Shore this weekend.

Mahone Bay leads the way with their Father Christmas Festival tonight.

The event features a tree lighting, choirs and visits from Father and Mother Christmas as well as the Grinch.

The Christmas poo-pooer will also be at the Bridgewater Fire Hall for breakfast beginning at 7:30am Saturday morning.

Of course the highlight in Bridgewater will be the annual Christmas on the LaHave parade at 6:00pm.

A craft market starts the festivities at noon in Lunenburg Saturday.

The Santa Claus Parade runs at 3:00pm and the lighting of the trees at Town Hall gets underway at 7:00pm.

While in Blockhouse, the Waldorf school will present their annual Holly and Ivy fair from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

And in Liverpool, the Santa Claus Parade goes Sunday at 6:00pm from Queens Place Emera Centre.
