Christmas officially comes to the South Shore this weekend.
Mahone Bay leads the way with their Father Christmas Festival tonight.
The event features a tree lighting, choirs and visits from Father and Mother Christmas as well as the Grinch.
The Christmas poo-pooer will also be at the Bridgewater Fire Hall for breakfast beginning at 7:30am Saturday morning.
Of course the highlight in Bridgewater will be the annual Christmas on the LaHave parade at 6:00pm.
A craft market starts the festivities at noon in Lunenburg Saturday.
The Santa Claus Parade runs at 3:00pm and the lighting of the trees at Town Hall gets underway at 7:00pm.
While in Blockhouse, the Waldorf school will present their annual Holly and Ivy fair from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
And in Liverpool, the Santa Claus Parade goes Sunday at 6:00pm from Queens Place Emera Centre.
