Two South Shore teachers have been recognized nationally for their work.
The 2019 Physical and Health Education National Conference was held over the weekend in Montreal.
Selena Davidson-Eno of Bayview Community School received the physical education excellence award and Sonya Cook of South Queens Middle School won the health excellence award.
Davidson-Eno says it shows there is a lot of dedication to the education system in the area.
“It’s very rare that you would have two individuals from a small province like Nova Scotia be award recipients.”
“We care about the kids,” adds Davidson-Eno.
“And we care about the programs that are happening in our school. It goes to show we are hard workers and it pays off.”
She says physical education is a significant part of her life and it’s special to be honoured at the national level.
