A South Shore football player has taken another big step in his NFL journey.
Logan Taylor has made the Los Angeles Chargers’ initial 53-man roster.
Taylor was selected by the Chargers in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 202nd overall.
Before that, his football path started much closer to home.
The Chargers say Taylor played for the Southshore Seahawks youth program and helped Team Nova Scotia win gold at the 2017 Under-16 Eastern Challenge.
He later began his NCAA career at Virginia before transferring to Boston College.
Boston College lists Taylor as a Lunenburg, Nova Scotia native, while its football media guide lists him from Bridgewater.
The 6-foot-7 offensive lineman started all 12 games for Boston College in 2025 and earned All-ACC Second Team honours.
The Chargers list Taylor as one of 11 offensive linemen on the team’s initial roster.
NFL rosters can still change before and during the regular season, but Taylor has cleared a major hurdle as the Chargers prepare for Week 1.
Should Taylor make the final Week 1 roster, he will join the Chargers as they host the Arizona Cardinals for their first game of the regular season.
