St. James Anglican Church Helps Save Mahone Bay VIC

A temporary relocation of the visitor information centre in Mahone Bay has been a huge help, according to Lisa Ali.

The VIC coordinator says the St. James Anglican Church has stepped up to make sure their season goes as smoothly as possible.

The actual centre went up in smoke on May 30, suffering damage and forcing it to close and undergo renovations.

Ali says the community has supported them through the difficult time.

“It’s such a community oriented place to be. That’s just helped everything go along smoothly or if we have had bumps then they have helped us find a way around it.”

She says renovations are going well and they could be back into the VIC building in September.

Ali says regardless of location, they plan to be open until mid-October.
