Student Debt in this country is through the roof!
The Canadian Federation of Students says its impacting their ability after graduation to find jobs, buy homes and generally find their places in society.
Deputy Chair Bilan Arte says its becoming a crisis.
She says: “Many aren’t able to think about starting a family or puchasing a home or vehicle or starting a new business. It makes it very difficult.”
Arte says the federal government is ignoring the problem and so are universities.
She says because of the growing debt problem, 42 percent of young adult grads end up living at home with their parents, up 15 percent in 30 years.
