Since 1998, students at Liverpool Regional High School have managed to raise thousands of dollars every year through an auction night as the look after their own and help send graduates on toward their post secondary education.
This year, the 20th Annual LRHS Scholarship Auction is set to take place on Thursday, May 31st, 2018 at Liverpool Regional High School.
Auction Advisor, Claudine LeBlanc, says it’s a real community supported event because all donations come from the local area.
“Even Bridgewater and South Shore wide, we get donations from different businesses, items, anything, paintings, you name it, and we take it and auction it off all for the kids, all for the graduates,” says LeBlanc.
Last year, the event raised a whopping $25,000 through the annual auction, enough to give 25 eligible students $1,000 each toward their post secondary education.
And this year, they aiming even higher. They hope to raise $30,000.
The 20th Annual LRHS Scholarship Auction takes place at the school, Thursday, May 31st, 2017 at 7pm.
