Students Learn Voting Process

Students across the South Shore have learned all about the voting process.

Mock federal election campaigns were held at Newcombville Elementary, Bluenose Academy, West Northfield Elementary as well in New Germany and North Queens.

School Board Superintendent Geoff Cainen says it’s sending youth down the right path.

“When we’re trying to get young people interested in politics and interested in voting and understanding why it’s so important that they have that right to vote and then they exercise it.”

Cainen says it’s important to get youth interested and engaged in local problems.
