A Shelburne County golfer finished second in Nova Scotia’s Mid-Amateur championship.
Jody Swim completed the three-day tournament at the Links at Penn Hills in Shubenacadie at six-under par, five shots back of champion Trevor Chow.
Swim, who plays out of River Hills Golf Club in Clyde River, declined an invitation to compete at the nationals.
However, clubmate Aaron Nickerson won in a playoff and will represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur in Regina, Saskatchewan from August 22-25.
