Tall Ships will once again grace Nova Scotia’s waterfronts.
The province has been confirmed as a stopping point for the 2017 Tall Ships Regatta race as part of Canada’s 150th Anniversary celebration.
The boats will visit several coastal communities while they’re here.
Jennifer Angel, Acting CEO of Waterfront Development says bringing back the ships was an obvious choice.
“The Tall Ships events have a demonstrated ability to drive significant visitation from out of province and therefore, positive economic impact,” she says. “So, it’s a great way to celebrate our community and our Maritime history.”
She says which ports will get a look at the iconic vessels will be decided in the coming months.
