Team Weagle, Coach Among Award Winners From NS Curling Association

A pair of local coaches have been recognized by the Nova Scotia Curling Association.

The group held their annual awards banquet Sunday.

Brian Rafuse of Bridgewater but coach and ice technician at Lakeshore Curling Club in Sackville and Anthony Purcell of the Chester Curling Club were co-winners of the Coach of the Year award.

Both led their respective teams to titles at the 2018 Canadian Under-18 Boys and Girls Curling Championships.

Team Graeme Weagle of Chester Curling Club including Owen Purcell, Jeffrey Meagher and Scott Weagle were co-winners of Team of the Year after winning the under-18 boys Canadian Championship.
