The Daisy Raises $285,000 For Hospital Auxiliary

It’s the largest fundraiser to date for The Daisy in Bridgewater.

The group, operated by the South Shore Regional Hospital Auxiliary, raised $285,000 this year.

The Daisy sells clothing, books, and household items to help raise money for needed equipment at the hospital.

Last year, it brought in equipment like defibrillators, stretchers, and cardiac monitors.

Convenor Jean McHarg says it’s great news.

“I’m very proud of the 68 volunteers that work but we also have to look at we are very lucky to have so many donations coming in.”

About $55,000 was raised by the gift shop and $1,500 by the ShoreLine art gallery, both located in the Bridgewater hospital.

They were recognized this week during the auxiliary’s annual volunteer luncheon.
