The secret to staying active at 91 and 87? Keep walking. Two local walkers reach 8,000 kilometers.

If you walked by road from Nova Scotia to B.C., it would be around 6,000 km. These two did that and more!

Ivan Foote, who’s 91, and Patrick Bailey, who’s 87, joined the kilometer club at the HB Studios Sports Centre about six years ago. Since then, the pair has logged more than 1,000 km a year.

That’s five days a week of walking for about an hour at a time!

They’re the oldest members of the club, a group of people who walk the facility most weekdays. HB Studios Sports Centre will keep track of your walking distances if you’re interested and join the club. Find out more on their website!

Congrats to Patrick and Ivan!
