The forest fire in Jordan Falls that reignited over the weekend is now under control, but still burning.

Firefighters started battling the fire last Wednesday after a lightning strike.

Crews believed to have the fire under control on Friday.

The fire has burned roughly 6.1 hectares of land.

Meanwhile, three people with DNR are back on scene today of a forest fire in the New Ross area.

It started on Monday evening near Dean Chapter Lake, about 7.5 kilometres from Highway 12.

They are trying to remove any remaining hot spots.
