UPDATE: 1:45 p.m
Roughly 690 homes and businesses in the Bridgewater and surrounding area remain without power.
Nova Scotia Power says those affected are in communities including Cornwall, Gold River, Western Shore, Martins Point, Blockhouse and Lilydale.
The power utility says snow, high wind and trees on the lines caused the outages.
Power should be restored between 2:15 p.m and 3:45 p.m this afternoon.
Meanwhile, all of Queens county is back on the grid following outages ranging between two and nine hours for some customers.
At the height of the storm, some 10,000 people were in the dark along the South Shore.
