A tragic start to the long weekend in Queens county.
A 35 year-old man from Liverpool was killed following a head-on crash on Highway 331 in East Port Medway.
It involved a pick-up truck and cube van.
The 63 year-old driver of the van from Mill Village and 60 year-old passenger of Port Mouton were taken to Queens General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver was pronounced dead on scene.
Multiple fire departments, RCMP and paramedics responded to the crash, which happened after 7 p.m Friday.
Highway 331 south of Highway 103 at Exit 17 was blocked off for several hours while an RCMP traffic analyst investigated the crash.
