UPDATE – Two People Dead In Highway 103 Crash

The RCMP have confirmed two people have died following a crash on Highway 103 near Exit 5A at Ingramport.

Police received a call shortly before 9:00am to a crash between an SUV and a commercial cube truck.

They say one of the vehicles appears to have crossed the centre line causing a head-on collision.

Both passengers in the car, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle has been taken to hospital, his condition is unknown.

Authorities have Highway 103 blocked in both directions from Exit 5A to Exit 6.

Traffic is being detoured via Highway 3.

However, Hutchinson says drivers should expect heavy delays as another accident near Hubbards is slowing traffic significantly.

He is asking people to slow down and adjust their driving to road conditions.

The section of Highway 103 is expected to remain closed until late this afternoon.
