The body found in the woods in Bridgewater has been identified.
“As a result of our investigations,” says Police Chief John Collyer, “we can confirm that the human remains found yesterday are those of the woman who was reported missing yesterday morning, Catherine Burgoyne.”
Collyer says the woman was last seen around noon on Thursday.
He says despite the autopsy performed on Tuesday cause of death is still unknown and further tests are required.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bridgewater police.
Burgoyne was 58 years old.
