Police have removed the woman’s body found Monday afternoon around 1pm.
Police found the body south of the intersection of King and Star Street in Bridgewater.
The body has yet to be identified.
Police Chief John Collyer says investigators were looking into a missing woman in her 50’s, when they stumbled upon the body.
However, Collyer said that’s the only link that can made at this point in the investigation.
“The lady who was reported missing to us yesterday is in her 50’s and we have not linked the two cases together,” said Collyer, and adds, they’ve been working on it all night and will provide an update as to the identity as soon as they know more.
